Our trip to Europe started out as a simple trip to Berlin. But first, since we haven't seen Z and his new family in so long, and Copenhagen where he has started his new company is close(ish) to Berlin, we added that as a destination. Then, turns out there's a total solar eclipse! In the Faroe Islands! They're part of Denmark, right? So, add the Faroe Islands first!

So, we flew from Newark to Brussels, layover, on to Copenhagen. Next day bright and early off to the Faroe Islands. See photos here.

Then back to Copenhagen to visit with Z and family. One day we drove across the bridge to Sweden (so cool! there's a bridge now!) and spent the day in Malmö. We also managed to get reservations at Noma, the Best Restaurant in the World (2014) :^)
