So before setting out that day, Christoph looked up the time schedule for the bus; "the tram gets us to the stop with 3 minutes to transfer to the bus -- I think we'll be fine" -- and indeed we were, walked up from the tram (which at this point was more of a subway) to the bus stop, the bus pulled up, and we got on, no problem. Why does this only work in Germany?
