I met Christoph on a train back when I was a student in Austria; we visited him, he visited us, the last time I saw him was 18 years ago when Fernanda and I visited and met Susanne. By pure coincidence he dropped me an email just before my trip with my mother to Germany and Iceland. It was great getting to see him and Susanne again after all this time, and a glimpse of what my life might have been like if I'd stayed in Germany and never emigrated to the US. Christoph and Susanne were very welcoming and so kind, we had a really terrific time!
