So for the second half of our visit we splurged on a nice apartment via AirBnB, which was still cheaper (I think) than the eclipse rates we'd been paying up till now. The apartment was right above an optician's shop: the owners had built out a nice store and apartment, but now didn't want to live that close to work anymore, so they were trying renting it out (the apartment, not the store). Smack dab in the center of Tórshavn, convenient to everything.
